We all are poets

Transcribing the world

Through our unique lens

The truth breaths out the pen

This pure outlet never lies

It runs deeper than you & I

Oh yes, for it surely comprised

Of the infinite – the mind’s eye!

How much is Enough?

During the winter months, time is such a wavy phenomenon. Some days, time runs as slow as mowing the football field with an old-fashioned scythe. Other days, it feels like a jackrabbit bouncing so fast it looks like a blur across the prairie. I know you feel it too.

For all of us, we have to find meaning in-between. How do we find balance in this ever-changing teeter-totter of life (especially in these winter months)? How much is enough enough work to feel fulfilled, enough time with friends to fill our cups, enough time to take care of our bodies?

I’ve found there is no impenetrable answer to this. It’s always changing – we must simply find a way to bend with the ebbs and troughs of life, and align with the flow of ‘today.’ In other words, don’t force your energy where it isn’t meant to go. Somedays it’s better to take it easier (more rest) and somedays it’s time to grind like it’s the last day on earth. Regardless, let the energy of the day guide your movement – and watch your kingdom (of the present) expand beyond bounds.

Here's another poem inspired by the glowing moon over the pine trees - her spectral guidance uplifted me out of my sickness and brought me home:

Mother Moon (calling to her):

Oh mother moon

How is you always see me

When I need to breathe

Patiently glowing behind the trees

You pick me right up

Back upon my feet…

There is no other omnipresence

Like yours in the night

Your somber glow

Keeps us upright

Here you are, oh moon

The one to absorb our fear

Returning back the truth

We all need to hear.

Go! Rise up - move now

The path is clear

As I, the moon are near

Guiding us back to here -

The eternal now.

Weekly Prompt (Like lifting weights, but for your brain):

Do you see more weight/power behind believing in something, or desiring/wanting something? Fun fact, there have been many psychological studies about this, it’s a real one here!
